3D GURUS

Thanks to the help of many, especially Ms. Jennie, our Printrbot Simple 3D printer is working nicely so far. We just organized teams of students in grades 5/6 and 7/8 who will be in charge of printing items that students design. We created a workflow that includes a Google Form via which students may pass their 123D Design file to the 3D Guru team. The 3D team will problem solve issues related to printing and talk with students whose files have problems. We are asking all students to use 123D Design as their creation tool for now to simplify our workflow. After a few months will give more freedom to creation apps so long as students send us files in.stl. We will begin to accept designs from the student body after January 30.  Watch your email for the Form and instructions.  Teachers are also welcome to plan lessons where 3D modeling applies - see Ms. Victoria or Ms. Jennie for assistance.
