I have been remiss in my postings lately - But, what a wonderful and energizing start to the year! The upper school library has been buzzing with some remodeling and re-design of space. I hope you like the new blue walls. These small improvements are almost finished - stay tuned for completion news.
The makerspace has finally opened this week with dry erase paint on the walls, Makey Makeys, Squishy Circuits, Knex constructions bits, arduinos and much more. If these things seem ‘foreign’ to you, stop in on October 29 after school for the open house.
Check out the first weekly challenge in celebration of Halloween, the Frankenstein monster mash-up, will bring out the creativity and laughter in all. Each week there will be a weekly challenge posted in the makerspace to spark your interest and creativity. The space is open Monday and Thursday after school and during most lunches. As part of the space, there will be a quiet room with a green screen for video recording and/or collaboration.
Other library news: New books have been arriving every few weeks since the start of the year. Stop by to check out new titles and/or use Destiny Quest to see what is new. A new Middle School Book Club starts this Weds (Oct 29) and will meet twice a month. Come to share your ideas with HS student, Theresa Lee as she will be the student facilitator of the club.
